Gardaland, Italy's largest amusement park, very close to Lake Garda, offers so many attractions to choose from that one day is not enough to enjoy them all.
There are many thematic areas scattered around the park, such as the medieval and Egyptian/Arab ones, the English Tudor village, the space area, the "Fantasy Kingdom" and the "Kung Fu Panda Academy," which opened in 2016.
In addition to these, there are many shows, about 25 different ones a day, to entertain and fascinate even the older ones.
And from March 30, 2019, the Year of Magic will begin, bringing many new features to Gardaland's children's attractions, with fantasy and magic-themed rides and shows: among them, the Enchanted Forest and the Sequoia Magic Loop, a roller coaster that performs a series of 180° turns. At the Palamagic, on the other hand, Magic Elements, a beautiful show of water and fire games, will be staged, and at Sea Life, Gardaland's aquarium, seahorses are also coming!
Also, new things are coming to the Peppa Pig land, with new cute guests to take souvenir photos with.
Inside the park there are plenty of themed restaurants, bars and kiosks, catering to everyone: from the youngest to the oldest, from the greediest to the least gluttonous, and even those with gluten allergies
There is no skip-tail ticket for the Gardaland park, but you can buy, in addition to the entrance ticket, different types of wristbands that limit the waiting time at the queues. They do not apply to all attractions, though.
At what age to bring children to Gardaland?
So many moms wonder at what age to bring babies to Gardaland.
The park is really big and has attractions for all ages. It is important to know that each attraction has clearly stated the height (not age!) for which you can enter the attraction, The controls are very strict, even one centimeter can make a difference!
For young children 3-4 years old
For children up to 105 cm (accompanied by an adult) there are special activities, such as baby canoes or baby horses,.
Children over 100 cm in height can ride the "Colorado Boat" and "Jungle Rapids," while for those over 110 cm among the available attractions are the "Mammoth" and the "Orthobuck Tour."
In some attractions there are restrictions for children under 6 or 4 years of age, but these are very few. More often, however, an adult is required as a chaperone.
A mom from the Its4kids group advises us for young children:
"Magic house to avoid, it plays a lot on psychology and a lot of kids get scared.
Privateers watch a few videos on youtube and get an idea, it is suspense based, Egyptians are doable (it is a laser game) roller coaster the only doable one is the mammoth goes up dry right away but then it only has fast but gradual descents (it takes a lot of speed rated, my 7 year old daughter was not ready and got scared)
Round rafts are doable, no rough descents, only navigation and you get wet with ''rapids'', my daughter enjoyed escape from atlantide and colorado boat, to avoid raptor, oblivion, blue tornado and shamain (classic rollercoaster)
Anyway it's worth going, at most you get 6 rides on the Egyptians as my 5 year old son :D couldn't take it anymore!!!"(/en)
For children 6-7 years old
For 6-7 year olds, from 120 cm the choice widens a lot and above 140 cm you have free access to all attractions!
Are Gardaland's attractions suitable for moms with a baby bump?
Women with a baby bump are first given the reduced ticket to enter the park.
There are then some restrictions for the more adrenaline-pumping rides. A sign can be found at the entrance to each attraction with the various restrictions written on it.
